Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a valuable resource that provides you with a safe and nonjudgmental space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Through a collaborative and inherently supportive relationship, I will help you to gain insight, develop skills and find new ways of navigating the world that will better support the person you hope to grow into.

At Juniper Counseling, I prioritize creating an environment that is inherently warm while also using evidence-based approaches. I utilize person-centered therapy, and humanistic therapy in my work with client’s while also pulling from other techniques and approaches (such as cognitive behavioral therapy) on a case by case basis.

Most importantly, I focus heavily on developing a strong relationship with my clients with foundations in trust and understanding. This creates an environment that can catalyze growth and change. Current and past client’s have commented on my nonjudgemental and warm approach, and ability to balance humor with my clinical work to create an environment that is approachable as much as it is effective.

Who does Caitlin help?

  • In my work with teenagers, I aim to create a safe and nonjudgmental space where teens can express themselves, explore their emotions, and develop invaluable coping skills. I recognize that every teen is unique, therefore I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs and goals of each individual. Through a variety of evidence-based techniques, I empower teenagers to understand their thoughts, manage their emotions, and build resilience in the face of life's challenges. Adolescents are under an immense amount of pressure as they navigate their academics, their social lives, their identities, self-esteem, and the ever changing landscape of our culture. Therapy for teens can allow for the development of a strong foundation for mental well-being that can be truly transformative and can positively impact their lives well into adulthood.

  • Everyone deserves a safe and affirming space to explore their identity and navigate their unique challenges. Those identifying with the LGBTQIA+ community may benefit from therapy that acknowledges not only one’s own individual experiences but also how these intersect the impacts of larger cultural issues. In my work doing LGBTQIA+ therapy, I prioritize balancing culturally sensitive frameworks with the fostering of a therapeutic alliance built on trust, respect, and acceptance. A crucial part of this process is the emphasis on empowerment and autonomy for my client’s in their therapeutic work.

  • Many of my clients fall in the 18-35 age range and present to counseling with a wide breadth of concerns. I’m passionate about meeting my adult client’s where they are in their journey with mental health, and I prioritize the unique needs of each client. Through evidence-based practices and a focus on building a trusting relationship that emphasizes client empowerment, I believe you can grow in profound ways.
