Meet Caitlin

I was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas (go Jayhawks!) and completed my B.A. in Psychology at the University of Kansas. After having visited Colorado all throughout my childhood, I decided to attend the University of Denver for graduate school where I earned my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

The Rocky Mountains, roaring waterfalls, yellow aspens and thin, crisp air have always felt like home to me. Spending time in the outdoors has always been and still is my favorite form of therapy. What I hope you understand about how I approach therapy is that I emphasize building a strong relationship with my clients. Therapy can be hard, and is inherently vulnerable. This is why I balance clinical knowledge with humanity and humor. I have a background in studying mental illness and psychology which means I will have certain insights that you’ll likely find helpful. At the same time, therapy is about connecting with someone who will provide empathy, support and warmth so that the difficult parts of therapy feel safe. This is a vital part of counseling that I take great care in providing to my clients.

I am drawn to working with those struggling with issues of identity and those struggling to cope with the psychological aftermath of traumatic experiences. Visit my services page for more specific populations that I am familiar with working with. Whatever your goals for therapy are, I’d be honored to be a part of your journey.

When I’m not with clients, you can find me enjoying all that this beautiful state has to offer. That might look like riding my horse, hiking and camping, enjoying live music or trying a new brewery.
